Sinner voted fans’ favorite player for the 2025 season

For the third consecutive year, Jannik Sinner has been voted the fans’ favorite player.

It must be said that after his thunderous start to the season, winning the Australian Open for the second time in a row by easily dominating all his opponents, he was sorely missed during his three-month suspension, which saw a clear dominance by the current world number one, Carlos Alcaraz.

Following his return in Rome, where he nevertheless made a strong impression by decisively defeating Ruud, who had just won the Madrid Masters 500, he was only defeated in the final by a Carlos Alcaraz in top form and playing better. These two gave us one of the best Grand Slam finals at Roland Garros in the history of tennis, and this summer run concluded with the Italian’s victory at Wimbledon, securing his first Wimbledon title.

Despite a dip in form at the US Open, he finished the season strongly, racking up 15 consecutive victories and winning the Vienna Masters and the Paris Rolex Masters, culminating in a triumphant victory at the ATP Finals.

His title is well-deserved and also serves as a snub to the persons who decided that his compatriot Lorenzo Musetti was the Italian Player of the Year, even if Musetti very well deserved this title. However, this title carries a hint of revenge following Jannik Sinner’s decision not to participate in the Davis Cup in order to focus on his preparations for the upcoming 2026 season.
